The Orang Malu (or Yogiman) originates in Indonesia and represents a self-absorbed, meditating man. Yogiman is happy in his heart, he has found peace with himself.
Yogi man is said to keep all evil out of the door when he is placed with his back to the door (main entrance). By stroking Yogi man’s back every day and treating Yogiman well, according to legends, your worries are taken away and confidence grows. It is also said: Put the yogi man face down at the door, because everything that passes him is then given positive power. His smile at the door, his heart in the house. When one caresses him from his head to his back, it removes the embarrassment and protects one from evil.

Artisan—Celebrating the best of traditional craftsmanship. These articles illustrate exquisite skill and incredible attention to detail. Mass production and the forces of globalization threaten artisan producers and their communities, who often struggle to adapt to competition.
