Wan Hua Tong Lamp, Ashmolean.
The Wan Hua Tong Lamp is converted from the Wan Hua Tong Watermelon Jar and is part of Mandarin Arts’ Ashmolean Collection.
Decorated with a striking kaleidoscopic pattern in cobalt blue, the design is inspired by an Islamic motif seen on a bianhu moon flask dating from the early 15th century held by The Ashmolean Museum.
Complete with a hardwood base and carrying a fully lined and pleated cream-coloured shade
