The Wan Hua Tong Jar is part of our Ashmolean Collection. A traditional round watermelon jar decorated with a striking kaleidoscopic pattern in cobalt blue.

The pattern is inspired by the design seen on a bianhu moon flask dating from the early 15th century and held by The Ashmolean Museum.
